A suburb of Damascus after what witnesses say was a large government air strike.

This is said to be Douma City, in Eastern Ghouta.

Residents here say many people - including children - were buried alive when the suburb came under attack.

Entire buildings were reduced to rubble.

The aftermath of the attacks was recorded anonymously and uploaded to a social media website.

It's unclear how many people were killed or wounded.

Activists say this part of the capital has been under aerial bombardment for two days, with more video purporting to show the shelling by President Assad's forces.

Government forces have been carrying out fierce assaults this month on parts of Damascus, trying to take back territory seized by rebel groups.
