Whisky.com tastes the Glenfiddich 40 years old. This specially hand selected whisky was matured in American oak and European oak. It is a very nice individual bottle from the independent company Glenfiddich. There are only 506 bottles on the market.
The nose:
Very complex, dark fruits, dark ripe cherries, a bit of leather, coffee, dates.
The taste:
Very aggressive oakiness complimented by dark fruits, raisins and some dark chocolate. But still very smooth and round.
