"Heavy Fighting in Gaza Before Pause Called"
"The Obama administration said it was "appalled by today's disgraceful shelling"—the third fatal blast at a U.N. shelter since the conflict began."
Unfortunately, when the bullets start flying these things happen. Not to mention that UN facilities in Gaza were being used to store weapons.
Before casting the accusing finger at Israel, it is healthy to remember that we blasted wedding parties in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and often hit wrong targets. I went to one Afghan village where I think we killed 70 in one airstrike. (I was there long after the airstrike.)
We even bomb our own people still. One unit that I was with, 4/4 Cav, had a US bomb land in the middle of their tiny base. I was not there but Soldiers gave me the video. They were waiting on the bomb to drop on the target, when the bomb dropped on their base, causing some Afghan Soldiers to vanish forever.
Just recently, another airstrike killed US troops in Afghanistan. One day in Afghanistan, a British Apache helicopter started shooting at British Soldiers by accident. One of our F-16s bombed Canadians in Afghanistan.
These things happen regularly. It gets crazy out there when the guns are pumping and the rockets and bombs are flying. Total madhouse sometimes.
