WWE character Lana, roused the Tampa crowd Sunday, by praising Russian President Vladimir Putin and blasting Americans during a WWE Battleground PPV grudge match between wrestler Alexander Rusev and Jack Swagger.
Some fans were offended because they felt Lana was alluding to the downed MH17 plane during a promo. WWE issued a statement saying there was no link to the Malaysian plane tragedy.
