Leopard rescued from well in India

STORY: A leopard was rescued from a well in the forest area of Panchmahal district of India's western province of Gujarat on Wednesday (July 16).

Residents heard some sounds from the well and discovered a leopard trapped inside. Later, they informed the forest department officials.

The officials, along with a rescue team from western Vadodara city, reached the spot and started their operations using a rope, to try and catch hold of the animal, which was pushing away the ropes.

The leopard was rescued and was not harmed.
