Dunya News - Prime Minister announces 82 billion rupees package for Karachi

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced a package of Rs. 82 billion for Karachi during his visit to the city today (Thursday). The package includes a Rapid Transit Bus System worth Rs. 15 billion. It is being named as Green Line Bus Project. Federal Government will bear all the expenses on this metro bus project in Karachi, which was a longstanding demand of the residents of the city.
Businessmen also met Nawaz Sharif during this visit and informed him about the problems they face due to lawlessness in the city. They told the Prime Minister that operation has not yielded the required results and armed wings of the political parties are still involved in extortion.
