Tensions rise in Jerusalem on the first Friday of Ramadan.

Stun grenades are fired to disperse Palestinian protesters.

This, in anticipation of violent protests at the funeral of 16-year-old Mohammed Abu Khudair.

Police are investigating whether he was the victim of a revenge killing over the deaths of three Jewish teenagers.

Abu Khudair's family and other Palestinians believe he was.

And now, they wait for Israeli police to deliver his body, after undergoing an autopsy.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) FATHER OF MOHAMMED, HUSSEIN SAEED ABU KHUDAIR, SAYING:

"They wanted to give us the body last night. We refused, because we can't bury him at night. And I said I must hold a big funeral for my son a in which the crowds can participate. I refused for it to be at night, only during the day."

Israeli police have deployed extra forces in Jerusalem ahead of the funeral.
