WEB USERS CALL BOWE BERGDAHL A DESERTER, NOT A HERO
The release of Bowe Bergdahl after five years in captivity in Afghanistan has been met with mixed reactions, while many have warmly welcomed the news, questions have been raised over how he ended up in Taliban hands. Some of his former military comrades say he was taken prisoner after he left his post voluntarily, without permission… in an interview with the Daily Beast site, ex-officer Nathan Bradley Bethea says Bergdahl is nothing more than a deserter … 
Comments that have been widely relayed on social networks, where users have slammed the actions of the freed soldier; some 3,800 people have joined this Facebook group for example saying Bergdahl is not the hero certain media outlets and the Obama administration would have us believe. 
A viewpoint shared by the 8,900 or so signatories of this online petition addressed to the US president, calling for Bergdahl to be punished for going AWOL, saying he is a traitor. They want him to face a military court over his actions which led to the deaths of six soldiers, who were killed while they went out to look for him… 
And many have paid tribute to these fallen soldiers over the past few days describing as the real heroes.
