Thamsanqa Jantjie, the man who made nonsensical hand gestures while serving as a sign language interpreter at the Nelson Mandela memorial, has resurfaced.

This time, he’s serving as a spokesperson for a new video app called Livelens.

In it, Jantjie apologizes for his previous flub, and assures the world that he is, in fact, a legit expert.

Meanwhile, a Jantjie video double stands beside him, signing the words – sort of.

A voiceover reveals that the double’s gestures and the man’s words don’t exactly sync up.

When asked why Jantjie was chosen for the ad, a company representative said, “We wanted to choose a presenter who is the worst presenter for a live app possible; you know, the person who did the worst screw up on live TV — ever.”

They were so intent on using the man for their ad that they broke him out of a mental health facility.

Following the memorial incident, Jantjie was hospitalized as he suffers from schizophrenia.
