Ballistics expert cross-examined in Pistorius case

A reconstructed bathroom door takes center stage in South Africa.

On day 29 of the Oscar Pistorius murder trial, ballistics expert Captain Chris Mangena shows the court how he conducted his investigation.

The policeman used the door to show the trajectory of the four shots fired by Pistorius that killed girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp last year.

Ballistics expert Tom Wolmarans then testified and supported Mangena's evidence, but also highlighted several differences.

"My Lady, I disagree. Anything could have happened at that point, and I said on the possibility that the right hip collapsed and she went down. I can't see the possibility that she could not have landed in that position."

Pistorius claims he fired four shots after he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder.

The state alleges that he shot her in a fit of rage after the couple had an argument.
