Oil tanker was hijacked by Libyan gunmen, captain says

That's where the captain and crew of an oil tanker seized by a group of armed fighters just off a rebel-held port on Libya's coast, are now spending their days.

They say they were forced to load oil onto the tanker, called the Morning Glory, which escaped the Libyan navy.

The captain maintains they acted at gunpoint.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) MORNING GLORY CAPTAIN MIRZA NOMAN BAIG SAYING:

"It was not the fault of the ship crew, because when the ship crew - they were under the hostage conditions. They have no other option but to just follow instructions."

The tanker was then stopped by the U.S. navy off Cyprus, and returned to Tripoli.

Authorities plan to send the ship's crew home after they've fully investigated the matter. Something the crew is looking forward to:
