Drugs are something kids should never have to see or be around.

In one maddening case, a toddler was found to be in possession of heroin. A staffer at a daycare facility, Michael’s Energy Factory in New Jersey, discovered the small child carrying dozens of baggies filled with heroin.

"Thank goodness, someone even thought to check that child's pockets before he himself found those drugs. Next thing, they hear from the school immediately if the tuition is late, they heard nothing about this." [WABC]

In total, 48 packages of heroin were found.

Authorities believe the toddler was unaware of the drugs in the coat and that no other kids at the daycare center were exposed to heroin. Cops determined the father, 27-year-old Phillips Young dropped the child off at the daycare that morning.

It’s unclear if additional drugs were found on Young however he was arrested in connection to the troubling incident. Young has now been charged with ‘endangering the welfare of a child’.
