Smoke Rises From Derailed Train

A train derailed and burst into flames west of Casselton, North Dakota, on December 30. Witnesses reported seeing a large fireball erupting from the site. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said one train went off the tracks and that a second train hit it. Early reports said one of the trains involved was a BNSF train carrying oil. Credit: Roy Kieffer
