Texas Chrysotype Presentation, Alternative Photographic International Symposium, Santa Fe, NM Oct 19 2013

I was invited to present the Texas Chrysotype at the 2013 APIS in Santa Fe because with my process photographic printing with gold finally works right and finally looks right. Before the Texas Chrysotype, gold prints, if you actually succeeded in getting one to print out, were expensive and unrealiable, and gave you gritty, contrasty, grainy red approximations of a photographic image. With the Texas Chrysotype, print from film or digital negatives easily, quickly, inexpensively, in pure gold and get images that render a range of 11 or more stops of gradation with extremely fine or no grain and are actual gray scale images -- real black and white photographs. The key ingredient is vitamin C!
