US shopping mall evacuated after gunman fires at random

Hundreds of police officers were called to a shopping mall in Paramus, New Jersey on Monday evening after multiple gunshots rang out shortly before closing time.
Witnesses said a masked man who appeared to be wearing body armour was seen carrying a gun into the Garden State Plaza.
Shoppers were immediately told to leave the building.
A SWAT team and regular police officers began a steady sweep of the shopping centre searching the floors for the alleged gunman.
While most people managed to leave the mall others barricaded themselves into shops waiting for the police to guide them to safety.
No casualties have been reported.
