Fernandez recovering well from surgery

Messages of love and support line the wall of a hospital in Buenos Aires where President Christina Fernandez is recovering from surgery.
60 year old Fernandez was hospitalized earlier this month for chronic subdural hematoma.
A spokesperson for the president said she's doing well and that sends her regards.
(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) PRESIDENTIAL SPOKESPERSON ALFREDO SCOCCIMARRO, SAYING:
"The president continues in her recovery plan. She's very well. She continues walking. Yesterday, she read a book, she just ate lunch, they offered her applesauce and she said, 'no,' I want prune sauce. So the president is in good spirits and sends her greetings to everyone."
The vice president has temporarily taken over Fernandez's duties and will continue to do so for the next several weeks while she recovers.
