Heavy flooding in Oaxaca as Tropical Storm Manuel and Hurricane Ingrid lash Mexico, killing at least 17 people

Along Mexico's Pacific Coast roads are drenched in water.

Some cars are completely submerged with authorities warning residents to prepare for flash floods and mudslides.

One woman spent the night on the highway waiting for help.

"We are waiting for boats to come to take us across. We've been waiting since last night and there is no sign of help from the authorities."

In Veracruz state streets have turned to rivers.

Heavy rains destroyed a highway and brought down a bridge.

And there is more to come, with Ingrid expected hit land Monday morning, and tropical storm Manuel churning about 85 miles off shore.
