Bomber aims at foreign troops, kills four Afghans

Residents in Afghanistan's Helmand province rush an injured man to a waiting ambulance.

He is one of 15 people wounded in a suicide blast targeting foreign forces in the country's south on Wednesday.

At least four other Afghans were killed.

This man says he hurried out of his home after hearing the explosion and saw several people wounded, including a man whose legs were amputated.

Although Afghan police say foreigners were hurt in the blast, a spokesperson from the NATO-led coalition forces could not immediately confirm the report.

A police spokesman said a suicide bomber had attacked as an American convoy passed by, but four civilians were caught in the explosion, including a woman and child.

Helmand province has been the scene of some of the fiercest battles pitched between insurgents and NATO forces since the Taliban overthrow in 2001.
