Mursi supporters call for demonstrations as U.S. diplomat arrives

As U.S. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns arrives in Egypt supporters of Egypt's ousted President Mohamed Mursi are still out on the streets demanding that he be reinstated as they call for mass demonstrations.

Burns met with interim Egyptian president Adli Mansour where he is expected to stress the need to end the violence and move toward a democratically elected government.

Mursi is being held at an undisclosed location. He has not been charged with a crime but investigations are underway. His supporters are angry.

"What has happened now is collapse of this state and the return to the totalitarian regime, which does not value Islam. Sisi is just a pawn in a chess game and is carrying out whatever the zionists and Americans tell him to do. He is just one of their tools who is carrying out the goal of doing away with democracy in Egypt."
