Canada: floods engulf downtown Calgary

Flash floods have hit the Canadian oil capital Calgary, where many of the city's roads have been engulfed by water.

Authorities evacuated the whole downtown area on June 21. Around 100,000 people were told to leave their homes.

No deaths or injuries were reported - which Calgary's Mayor Naheed Nenshi described as "nothing short of a miracle".
