A deadly storm has wreaked havoc across the western Canadian province of British Columbia. At least one person died and two people were missing after a rain-induced mudslide near Lillooet trapped motorists. Torrential rain flooded homes and inundated several highways leading to Vancouver, cutting off one of Canada’s busiest freight seaports, from the rest of the country.
