The British are coming! The British are coming! Well, to the Daily Show at least. John Oliver officially starts his summer-long stint as front man for the Daily Show today.

Oliver, who is known as Stewart's snarky British sidekick, is filling in for Jon Stewart, who will be in the Middle East for the summer filming for his directorial debut, Rosewater.

Considering that John Oliver is a graduate of Christ's College at Cambridge and has been a staple at the Daily Show for over six years, it's safe to say the show is in good hands.

Yes, in good, British hands. Oliver will only be manning the show for a short time, but he has already stated his goal will be to make sure it doesn't crash and burn.

It will be interesting to see what Oliver does while in the powerful position of Daily Show host.

Hopefully Stewart will have a safe and successful return from the Middle East, and Oliver in the meantime doesn't run the show into the ground.
