Al Qarra - Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived Monday afternoon to Morocco, the first step on his 3 day North African tour. He was welcomed at the Rabat airport by Prime-Minister Benkirane of Morocco. The Turkish Prime-Minister was accompanied by many members of his government a 300 member business delegation.

The Turkish leader met with his counterpart before presiding over a bi-lateral business forum. Ankara and Rabat had signed a free-trade accord in 2006.. Since then, trade between the two countries has doubled, and reached 1.3billion dollars in 2011. Certain efforts remain on how to balance out the economic relations, making it equally favorable to both sides.
