God created a perfect world (Genesis 1:31). Unfortunately, the first humans, Adam and Eve, sinned. Their rebellion brought death and suffering into the world (Romans 5:12). They also passed their sinful nature onto us. There's no such thing as a good person (Romans 3:23). Fortunately, we can be reconciled to God through Christ (Romans 6:23). By cooperating with the Holy Spirit, we can act more like God every day (Ephesians 5:1-2).
