The ninth draw of the FIFA world Cup organized by FIFA and held from 31 may to 21 June in Mexico. For the first time the Championships were held on the territory of the country who is a member of CONCACAF, and for the first time outside of Europe (UEFA) and South America (CONMEBOL).

In the semi-finals and the final, she beat other two-time world Champions — the team of Uruguay and Italy respectively. Third place went to team Germany, who owned the Jules Rimet Cup once.
