D. Michael Wilson is an executive leader based in the North Charleston area, with a strong track record leading billion-dollar organizations to exceptional levels of growth and profitability. Wilson's focus is on spurring transformational change to build company culture and connect people to purpose. His areas of expertise include strategic development, change management, operational excellence, sustainability, enterprise turnarounds, and mergers and acquisitions. D. Michael Wilson attended UNC Chapel Hill where he earned his B.S. in Chemistry and MBA.

D. Michael Wilson is CEO of Prince International, a world-class producer of engineered additives. He brings over 20 years of experience, with prior executive roles as president, director, and CEO while also being an active board member. From 2015 - 2020, Wilson served as president, CEO, and director of Ingevity, a leader in specialty chemicals and performance materials. During his tenure, he led growth in revenues from approximately $900 million in 2016 to $1.3 billion in fiscal 2019 while guiding the company through three major acquisitions. Prior to Ingevity, Wilson was the executive vice president and president of the Performance Chemicals unit with Albemarle Corporation. From 1997 - 2013, Wilson's executive roles at FMC Corporation included president of the Specialty Chemicals Group, group vice president of Industrial Chemicals, and division manager for the Lithium Division. Throughout his years, Michael has served on the Boards of Directors of Vulcan Materials, the American Chemistry Council, the National Association of Manufacturers, and the Philadelphia and Greater Charleston Metro Chambers of Commerce.

As a devoted philanthropist, D. Michael Wilson serves various programs through the D. Michael and Pam Wilson Family Fund. The fund currently benefits the greater Charleston area through the Lowcountry Food Bank, the South Carolina Aquarium, and Reading Partners South Carolina.
