At least four people died when an earthquake measuring 5.7 hit eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Officials say rain had weakened the traditional mud-brick buildings causing hundreds of homes to collapse.

Scores of the injured are being treated at this hospital in Jalalabad.
