Makhachkala, Dagestan - the former home of two brothers believed to have carried out the deadly Boston Marathon bombings.

Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev are suspected responsible for three deaths and 170 injuries during the bombing as well as for killing a college police officer and wounding a transit officer in an attempt to evade capture.

Since emigrating to the U.S. with their family, both parents have now moved back to the capital of this restive area of Russia.

One resident of the predominately Muslim city lashed out at the perpetrators, saying such acts of violence are against Islam.

"Of course, it's very painful, very painful. I'm very sorry for people (hurt), my soul is crying out for these people. The person (who did it) is probably a sadist. He could be burnt alive in front of people. How can you do this? This person, probably, has a stone instead of heart."
