Lauki Halwa

Recipe to prepare "Lauki Halwa":

Ingredients:
300 gms bottle gourd/lauki, peeled
2 tbsp clarified butter/ghee
1 bowl milk
1 tsp screw pine water/kevda
2-3 tbsp fresh cream
3 tbsp sugar

Method:
Take bottle gourd, and grate it.
Heat clarified butter in a pan, until it melts.
Add grated bottle gourd; stir well to cook for 5-6 minutes.
Keep the flame low; add milk and mix well.
Cook by stirring in between, until it reduces into thick consistency.
Put the flame high, and stir continuously for a while to dry out the excess moisture.
Add screw pine water and fresh cream; mix well.
Add sugar, and stir well until it melts.
Put off the flame, and Lauki Halwa is ready to serve.
