Direct from an infamous underground basement in Surry Hills, four friends turned some late night jam sessions and a few cartons of coopers into Medicated Youth.
Simon Day (Ratcat) leads the vocals on a garage rock sound
that's dirtier than a hookers knickers. Dressed up by some earth shattering licks from guitarist Pablo Hurrell and driven home by the solid rhythm section Bobby Saponja on bass and Ruben Alexandar on drums.
With several festival appearances under their belt the band are currently in the process taking their demos overseas to be recorded and mixed by legendary Producer Don Dixon (REM, Hootie and The Blowfish).
Medicated Youth plan to release the album "...Wish You Were Here" in early 2013, until then you can find the band in some disused studio or more likely at the pub.
