Formed in July 2011, Until This Day are a Progressive-Alt, five piece, based in Belfast. Taking their influences from the likes of City & Colour, Paramore, Elliot Smith and Suzanne Vega, the band have developed their unique sound by incorporating 3 way vocal harmonies with countless catchy melodies, combining acoustic and post-rock styles and by fusing these with high energy stage performance.
The bands debut EP 'The Beginning' (recorded Sept 2011), went down a storm in the local music scene; leaving people stunned at how fast they had come along already. Track 1 'Hold On' is 'a tribute to acoustic pop-rock at it finest'; having over 400 listens on the website 'Soundcloud.com' in its first 8 hours of upload. Track 2 'Don't Cherish' is 'Until This Day at their best with the Paramore influence shinning through a lot' (BoosttheMusic.com) also described by BBC ATL as 'very much a band on the emotional side of the rock spectrum. 'Don't Cherish' is a superiorly crafted piece of emo pop'.
The constant gigging schedule is a mark of how much this band wants to break through, Oct 11' -- Dec 11' the band had a staggering 29 gigs, all of which, played with passion, love and dedication.
