Fires burn outside a police station in the Argentinian town of Junin, just west of Buenos Aires.

A mob on Sunday attacked the station and clashed with police, angry about the murder of a teenage girl.

Local media said a robber murdered 17-year-old Karen Campos on Saturday night during whilst she was working in a shop 100 metres from the police station.

Residents blame the police for failing to deal with crime.

The protest got out of hand and riot police fired rubber bullets at the crowd who were throwing rocks.

Officials said one suspect has been detained in connection with the murder and another suspect is being sought.
