For many Indians, it was one rape too many. An assault that has come to symbolise the rampant violence against women in India. On December 16th, a 23-year-old student was brutally raped on board a bus by six men, assaulted with an iron bar and thrown naked and mortally injured onto the roadside. In a society where many still regard women as a commodity, our reporter has met both victims and perpetrators of sexual violence.
