Flooding hits Australia's Queensland

Around 30 homes and businesses were flooded in Queensland, in Australia's northeast, when the Mary River burst its banks early on Thursday (February 28), for the third time in four weeks.
Shopkeepers in the town centre said their basements were inundated and several suburbs on the outskirts are still cut off.
TV reports showed power lines near collapse and the swollen river cutting a town in half. A man who tried to drive through the river late last night was rescued by the emergency services in the early hours. There are no reported injuries.
The local authorities in the Fraser Coast area of Queensland were said to be hoping to get more assistance from both state and federal governments.
In Victoria in Australia's southeast, flash flooding followed a downpour of rain equivalent to one and a half months worth of rain in 12 hours.
The rain did have an upside as it helped firefighters to contain a large blaze in a national park.
