Recently sacked Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth claims he had turned things around at the Recreation Ground - and expected the club to stay up this season.
He told Hawksbee and Jacobs: "It was a shock. I felt that lifting ourselves out of the bottom four had raised our confidence. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved here, my remit at the start of the season was to keep the club in the division and I felt I would do that."
