Hilary Mantel blasts Kate Middleton, calls Duchess of Cambridge 'Plastic Princess'

Hilary Mantel, the Booker Prize winning novelist, launched a scathing attack on the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton during her recent London Review of Books lecture.

Mantel described the Duchess as "appeared to have been designed by a committee and built by craftsmen," and that she resembled "a personality-free shop window mannequin" that was "born to breed" during the lecture at the British Museum on Feb 4. She later compared the royal family to pandas, ill adapted to the modern environment.
