Chris Jamison was born in Texas, raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and finished high school in London. It was in London nearly ten years ago, at the age of 17, that he first began writing and performing his own songs. Since then Jamison has earned a degree in political science from the University of Virginia, toured and traveled across the globe, and has independently released three records (mastering the first two at Abbey Road Studios).

Recording for the third record, "Cradle to Cradle" was split between Marfa and Austin, TX and was released this spring. It is in rotation at the Austin NPR affiliate KUT, KOOP, and other great independent stations. Since settling into the hill country hamlet of Wimberley, TX two years ago Jamison has been living and working on an organic farm&ranch while still maintaining a touring schedule that has seen him play hundreds of shows across Texas, including the Kerrville Folk Festival.

Chris Jamison has been dubbed "the Paul Simon of Texas" by the Austin Chronicle and No Depression Magazine called his melodies "both sing-a-long immediate and earworm lasting." It is clear that Jamison has studied his heroes, the likes of Jackson Browne, Townes Van Zandt, and Leonard Cohen, but the music he is making is something wholly his own and fresh. Chris Jamison is a traveler and a storyteller, a writer of songs that catch both the ear and the heart. Jamison has wrapped up his life on the farm for the foreseeable future and is once again back in Austin writing and performing full-time.
