SHANNON SELIG - SHOW ME THE LIGHT

Ever since nine year old Shannon stated "I just want to change people's lives with my voice" it was apparent she would do just that. Growing up on farms in the woods of Maine and Nova Scotia this Canadian/American singer-songwriter has a natural flare for country music. Now a Nashville resident and multi-award winning vocalist and songwriter, Shannon is working with renowned producer Alan Schulman and Jim Mayer, long time bassist for Jimmy Buffett.
Recently Shannon and Jim Mayer co-wrote a new version of his song "Show Me The Light". The song was originally written for two girls who took their own lives because they were bullied in school. "Show Me The Light was launched in October via Youtube for Anti-Bullying Awareness Month and will be the first single on Shannon's new record due out in February. Together Shannon and Jim are making great strides against bullying.
Coming off a summer of East Coast touring with her band from Boston, Shannon is used to a packed schedule. Her drive and focus have helped her lead her band to perform in front of crowds of up to thirty thousand and record in some of Nashville's finest studios.
Shannon believes in giving back to her community through performing at fundraisers throughout the Northeast. She appears annually at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk in Montreal, which draws a crowd of over 2,000. On their 5th anniversary Shannon wrote and recorded a single for the Light the Night Walk titled "Walk With Me" which is sold across Canada and the US to raise funds and awareness for the cause.
Shannon has performed for the American Cancer Society, NASCAR, Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park and many more. Now an International Award Winning Female Country Vocalist and Songwriter 2012 and New England Country Music Female Vocalist, Entertainer and Songwriter of the Year 2011, Shannon has accomplished a lot and is sure to do much more in the near future.
