India clinched the series thanks to Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina batting their way to half-centuries and three wickets for Ravindra Jadeja for whom bowling against England must be becoming a favourite pastime.

This was perhaps Rohit Sharma's best innings in an India shirt - certainly, for a long while - and although Kevin Pietersen, Alastair Cook and Joe Root scored half-centuries for England, India again never looked in much danger of slipping up.

Raina earlier failed to add to his tally of catches when dropping Root but he got some good fortune with the bat when Steven Finn had him caught behind only to kick the stumps over with in his delivery stride and dead ball was called.

Although Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni all failed today, India moved into an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series.
