Al Jazeera has recieved reports that there has been progress in talks between Kurdish military officials and the Iraqi central government. The two sides are trying to defuse an armed confrontation over disputed territory. But, both sides have not finalized a deal on how to deploy a joint armed force into the area, which is claimed by both the Kurdish government and Iraq.
