A woman is sentenced to 15 years in prison for using a toy gun during a robbery.

Apparently a toy gun can get you in hot water.

A St. Louis woman was recently sentenced to 15 years behind bars for robbing employees at a White Castle.

34-year-old Michelle White brandished a red water pistol at the drive through worker. White passed a note through the opening, demanding money. Employees ran from the window and called 911.

White got out of her vehicle and climbed through the window. She rifled through the cash register and made off with a little over $600, but a customer in the drive through line obtained her license plate number.

When police arrived at her home, she jumped from the roof of her apartment building as an escape attempt. She broke her arm and pelvis, making it easy for officers to detain her.

Late last year, a 22-year-old man was arrested after trying to rob a Dollar General store in New Mexico. While the suspect pointed a gun at the cashier, another employee tackled him.

When police arrived, they discovered the gun was actually a toy. The man was arrested and charged with robbery and attempt to commit a fourth-degree felony.
