Trudy &Jack - redemption [The Tribe]

For Annie. Slightly AU story.
When Jack sees Trudy in a position of power, he is starting to fall for her in spite of himself and the feeling could very well be mutual, but the Guardian picks up on that and sends Jack away.

A few months, he tries to figure out what do do with himself and meets Cloe.
They get talking and it ends up with him is feelings for Trudy to her. Cloe in return persuades Jack to return to the Mall.

Trudy is hopeful that Jack has changed his mind about giving them a chance - when she sees him in the cafe.

Though Jack likes to be back and tries to behave normally around Trudy, he can't keep himself from thinking about what happened the first time he came back - and how he couldnt bring himself to forgive Trudy for Dal's death.

Jack decides it's time to go and sort this out, once and for all, but when he goes to speak with Trudy, Cloe is already in her room, in fact, trying to help them get together, she is telling Trudy about Jack's feelings.

Jack gets cold feet and decides to leave the Mall.

A few years later, Lex meets him on one of his meetings and invites him back to the Mall.

The reunion is happy, but Jack has worries on his mind. He is working for Mega and he doesn't like all that he has to do.

Trudy, who has first hand experience in what could go wrong, advises him to quit qhile he can. Jack doesn't follow her advice and gets involved more and more deeply.
When Trudy finds out, she is furious and that gives Jack little reason to stay for any longer.
