The head of the African Union, Boni Yayi, is due in the Central African Republic to talk to the government and rebel fighters. But as Yayi is set to arrive, rebel gunmen are moving ever closer to the capital, Bangui. Their spokesman says they will take action if President Francoise Bozize does not leave the country.
