The NFC East Division will be awarded to the winner as the Dallas Cowboys will hit the road to face the Washington Redskins in a week seventeen NFL Pro Football game on Sunday night. Kick off time from Washington is scheduled for 8:20PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by NBC.

The betting odds opened up in this NFL game with the home team Washington Redskins favored by -3 points with an over under line of 50 points. Early money from the bettors has not moved this betting line as Washington remains favored by -3 points. The over under too has not moved off the opener of 50 points.

These two NFC East division teams first met on Thanksgiving Day with the Washington Redskins posting the 38-31 road win against the Cowboys as a +3 ½ point underdog. The game flew over the total of 47 points. Washington opened up a 28-3 lead at the half in the win and held off a Cowboys rally late. Both teams moved the football up and down the field with over 400 yards by each offense. Without Murray in his backfield Romo had two interceptions. NFL Trend: Washington Redskins are 5-0 ATS in their past five meetings with the Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are NFC East division champions with a win on Sunday. They cannot make the playoffs with a loss. Dallas is 8-7 on the season and 4-3 on the road. Their three game win streak was snapped last week in a 34-31 home loss to the New Orleans Saints as a -1 point favorite. The game flew over 54 points. The Cowboys defense struggled allowing the Saints 562 yards offensively. With DeMarco Murray in the backfield and a solid threat in the running game we have seen much improvement from Tony Romo. The Cowboys signal caller passed for 416 yards with four touchdowns as he completed 26 of 43 throws. Romo has just one pick in his past four games. Cowboys have historically failed miserably in a huge game like this one on Sunday.

With a win on Sunday the Washington Redskins will win the NFC East division. With a loss they can back into the playoffs with losses by Minnesota and Chicago. Washington has won six straight games and one of the hottest teams in the NFL. This came on the heels of a three game losing streak as they entered the bye week. The Redskins offense has shown major improvement since the bye. Last week they beat Philadelphia on the road 27-20 as a -4 ½ point favorite. Washington is the 30th ranked pass defense in the league and the Eagles exposed that weakness as rookie Nick Foles throw for 345 yards. The Redskins held off a late Eagles rally. The Redskins sports the top running offense in the league as they rush for 162 yards a game. This keeps opposing defenses off balance and forces secondary’s to bite for run fakes which opens up big play opportunities for Washington. Alfred Morris has rushed for over 1400 yards this season. Quarterback Robert Griffin III has 20 touchdowns and 5 picks on the year while completing 66% of his throws.
