O'Neill: The Sunderland fans have been terrific

Sunderland boss, Martin O’Neill has praised the supporters during this difficult period his side have been going through.
A loud and passionate away support followed the team to Old Trafford where they gave a good second half performance, even though they lost 3-1.
He said: “We fought back and gave a proper account of ourselves in the 2nd half. Our fans have been absolutely terrific, it’s tough times but I think they know that. They understand it’s going to be a difficult time for us and we can turn it round.”
