Preparations are fully underway in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro as it prepares to host the world's biggest football tournaments.
With both the Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup fast approaching, construction workers are working around the clock to meet their deadlines.
At Rio's Maracana stadium, which will host the World Cup final, there are some 6,000 men and women pulling out every stop to make sure the renovation works are completed in time for the February 2013 deadline set by FIFA.
According to Maracana and city officials, everything is on schedule and as it stands the stadium is more than 70 percent complete.
As Brazil puts its international reputation on the line, the main concern for Brazilian and FIFA officials is to make sure the country is prepared.
