The 9-10 LA Lakers will continue their road trip as they face the 15-4 Oklahoma City Thunder in an NBA pro basketball game on Friday night. Tip off time from Oklahoma City is scheduled for 9:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by ESPN.

The current NBA odds have the home team Oklahoma City Thunder favored by -7 points with an over under line of 210 points. When the odds opened up a few hours ago Oklahoma City was favored by-7 ½ points and the total was 211 points. We have seen a ½ point move on the Lakers and a ½ point move towards the under.

The Lakers and Thunder met in the playoffs last year with OKC winning in five games. Counting the regular season LA and Oklahoma City met eight times with Oklahoma City winning six of the games. Oklahoma City hosted four of those eight games and won all four on the home court and covered the spread in three of the games. Trend: The over is 5-1 in their past six head to head meetings.

LA Laker sits just 2-5 on the highway this season. They have a two point loss at Houston and on Wednesday they earn the 103-87 road win at New Orleans as a -4 ½ point betting favorite. Pau Gasol was shelved in the first two games of this trip with knee tendinitis and it doubtful for Friday. Steve Nash is due back late in the month. The Lakers still struggles with high turnovers. On the road the Lakers give up nearly 102 points per game and 18 turnovers on the season. Kobe Bryant leads the team with 28 points a game and a 49% shooting percentage. Pau Gasol was suffering through career lows in many offensive categories. The team announced it will not trade Gasol. They really need to see how he can play with Nash.

The Thunder is 9-2 on their home court. They have won six straight and nine of their past ten games. OKC have been a scoring machine with point totals greater than 110 points in seven of their past ten games. They are top in nearly every offensive category. And what is really impressive about this team is with all the solid offensive number that are number two in defensive field goal percentage allowing just 42.4% shooting to opponents. Kevin Durant leads the team with 26 points and 51% shooting from the floor.
