The 8-8 Minnesota Timberwolves will be the road team as they face the 9-8 Boston Celtics in an NBA pro basketball game on Wednesday night. Start time from Boston is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by the NBA League Pass Channel.

The current NBA odds have the home team Boston Celtics favored by -6 ½ points with an over under line of 189 points. We have seen a 1 point moved towards the under as the game opened up a few hours ago with a total of 190 points. There has been no early movement on the side.

The teams met once during the lockout shortened year with Boston posting the 100-79 road win as a -1 point favorite. The total landed under 190 points. Trend: The T’Wovles have covered four straight games.

This is a very strange scheduling spot for Minnesota. They just concluded a four game west coast trip where they dropped three of four games. Minnesota then hosted Milwaukee on Sunday and then sent to the road for a game at Philadelphia on Tuesday and face Boston on Wednesday in a back to back. On Tuesday the Timberwolves posted the 105-88 road win at Philadelphia as a +3 point underdog. They started quickly by going up 65-47 at the half. Kevin Love has been dealing with flu symptoms and played and scored just 6 points but grabbed 10 boards in the win. Good news for Minnesota as Ricky Rubio is scheduled to return to the lineup on December 12th.

The Celtics are just 5-4 on their home court this season. They have lost four of their past seven games. In their past three games Boston has struggled for offense as they have been held to an average of 89 points a game. The biggest reason for this is Rajon Rondo was serving a two game suspension and is expected back on Wednesday.
