Left activist and scholar Dr Aasim Sajjad Akhtar on the nature of the Pakistani state/ Afghanistan

Speaking at the 2nd Pak-Afghan progressive conference held in Lahore, Dr. Akhter (Yale, SOAS) who currently teaches political science at Quaid-e-azam University, gave a lecture on the Pakistan perspective regarding Afghan-Pakistan relations. Here he is identifying some of the issues on hand. He discussed the construction of the Pakistani nation-state and then its inherent nature, the role of the left and progressive parties plus the challenges faced to come in the region.
