Bond relay ends in London with stars Britt Ekland and Richard Kiel on hand to greet fans.

One of cinemas most enduring characters.

It's 50 years since the first James Bond film was released.

And to celebrate this briefcase containing a new boxset of the series has travelled around Great Britain.

Marking the end of the trip former Bond girl Britt Ekland delivered the case to retailer HMV in central London.

Joined at the event by Bond baddie Richard Kiel, she explained why she wanted to be part of the spy-movie franchise.

SOUNDBITE Britt Ekland, saying (English):

"I saw Ursula Andress, of course, coming out of the water, not at that time cos I wasn't even in England, I was still in school, many years later - and I thought I want to do that."

And she did.

Ekland starred alongside Roger Moore in 1974's 'The Man With The Golden Gun.'

But it's not all about beautiful women. Bond also always has an evil villain to face.

And they don't come more threatening, than Kiel's Jaws

SOUNDBITE Richard Kiel, saying (English):

"Could Jaws beat Daniel Craig? Well, probably give him a run for the money, you know, who knows he might be on Daniel Craig's side, if they paid me enough!"

Our modern day Bond seems to be doing a good job on his own.

Back for his third big screen outing as the spy, Daniel Craig's 'Skyfall' is due to be released next month.

With a never ending appetite it seems the legend of Bond is set to continue, perhaps for another 50 years.
